Shinzo Nakano joined Itochu Corporation in 1989. In early 90's, he first got involved in venture investment when he worked for Itochu Technology, Inc. in Silicon Valley. He established business ties with top tier US VC firms such as KPCB and Itochu has expanded its venture investment business since then. He founded Itochu Technology Ventures, Inc., a subsidiary of Itochu Corp, in 2000 and raised its first fund for $83M as a partner. He achieved 6 successful exits including 2 IPOs for the fund. In 2006, he returned to Itochu Technology, Inc. in Silicon Valley as SVP & COO. In 2012, he became General Manager of IT business Dept of Itochu Corporation. In 2015, he became President & CEO of Itochu Technology Ventures,Inc.
Yoshiyuki Muramatsu has been engaged in setting up new businesses in the information industry as well as in sales and marketing of existing businesses with ITOCHU Corporation, CIE America, Inc. and ITOCHU Techno-Solutions. With ITOCHU Corporation, Mr. Muramatsu was in charge of setting up businesses including mobile services and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), which leverages next generation communication technology. He served as Sales Manager and Head of New Business Development Office with operating companies. Two investee companies were sold through M&A process while serving these positions.
From April 2007, Mr. Muramatsu was engaged in investments in venture companies in and outside Japan and hands-on support with ITOCHU Technology Ventures. During his two-year term, he invested in three companies, and one company was listed. Mr. Muramatsu served as Head of Organization with ITOCHU Corporation and set up an IT-based social infrastructure business from September 2009.
Since his appointment in April 2014, Mr. Muramatsu has served as Director of ITOCHU Technology Ventures. Mr. Muramatsu is a graduate of the Doshisha University, Department of Science and Engineering.
Having been engaged in investments in non-listed venture companies and fundraising with JAFCO Co., Ltd., one of the largest venture capital companies in Japan, Junichiro Kono has had experiences in business planning and capital policy making for many investee companies, calculation of corporate value, formulation of business alliance plans and promotion of alliance.
Mr. Kono has served with ITOCHU Technology Ventures since April 2008 to present and been engaged in investments in IT venture companies and management support for investee companies ranging from strategic planning to the implementation. Mr. Kono is a graduate of the Meiji University, Department of Political Science and Economics.
Teppei Tsuchikawa is a principal at ITOCHU Technology Ventures, Inc (ITV). Prior to the current position, Teppei was taking a key role at ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation (aka CTC) to drive a strategic initiative to enhance the business at a global scale, temporally transferred from its parent company ITOCHU Corporation, responsible for international business development including business partnerships and M&As. Consistently throughout his carrier at ITOCHU including an assignment at ITOCHU Technology (Santa Clara), Teppei has been focused on international business development for a variety of new technologies including semiconductor materials to consumer technologies in IT and communicaton sector, and also has been taking a major role at the venture investment initiative of ITOCHU for the last 5 years. Before joining Itochu Corporation, Teppei served several major global leading companies including Lucent Technologies and Nissho Iwai Corporation at verious positions in sales and marketing in the Japan market for overseas IT and communication products and services. Teppei holds a Bachelor degree of Commerce from Keio University in Tokyo, Japan.
