Ogawa joined Itochu Technology Ventures in 2008 before transferring to work at Cool Japan Fund. After gaining experience working in overseas markets, he returned to Itochu Technology Ventures in 2018. Before his time at ITV, Ogawa was the founder and CEO of 3Di, inc., a 3D computer graphics virtual world software developer. His other career experiences include a management position at the ngi group (formerly Netage) for new businesses, consulting for major firms at Dream Incubator Co. Ltd., leading positions in business development, planning, M&A, Chinese business, IR reporting departments at major systems and SI developer INTEC Inc., and positions in operations, HR, and venture investments at Nippon Life Insurance Company. Beyond monetary investments, he also provides management advice, business plan guidance, product and service development help, global business and alliance advice, M&A, and funding strategy advice. Ogawa is a graduate of the School of Economics Department of Economy and Business at Kyushu University. His hobbies are music (rock, punk), fishing, camping, cooking, table tennis, and running.
